Fritz belonged Zofingue “a federalist and multicultural society like Switzerland.” I’m guessing he joined as a student. He remained connected to his society brothers all his life.  There are currently 12 chapters, centered in various Swiss cantons (that’s the federalist part.) I don’t know which chapter he was associated with. Maybe one changed chapters depending on your residence.
